Dropped the 2023 silverado off at 8am for oil change,tire rotation,and cruise control malfunction. Never received status on truck until I called around 3pm.The truck hadn't been looked at yet,picked up truck at 5pm,oil change done,cruise control still not working.

The employees were friendly and welcoming, but it shouldn’t take 2 1/2 hours to do an oil change when you have an appointment.

Everytime we bring our vehicle to Jim Trenary for routine maintenance, they always try to upsell additional services. The prices they quote are always high compared to other places. We ended up getting the”recommended service” at another service station in Troy for HALF the price Jim Trenary quoted us. Previously, when they said I needed new tires and quoted me “good, better and best”, I ended up getting four tires of the same exact brand and model # installed at Sam’s for several HUNDRED dollars less than what Jim Trenary quoted us. So tired of every single time they try to guilt us into buying additional services. I will never pay Jim Trenary to do anything else beyond the maintenance package purchased with my car.

My vehicle was scheduled for an 8am "appointment" on Friday. We dropped the vehicle off at 530 Thursday. By 1 pm Friday I hadn't heard anything. I was told my appointment time was just for the advisor to check the vehicle in, not have it looked at. I was then told by the service manager it WOULD be looked at Friday around 3 and I would get a phone call back. At 530 I still hadn't heard anything so once again I called. I was told by the advisor it had not been looked at and would be Monday first thing (mind you it was dropped off Thursday in preparation for Friday.) Monday around noon I still hadn't heard anything, so decided to respond to a sales pitch email I had received. After voicing my issue to Josh in that email, I finally got a phone call from the service manager telling me the vehicle had been looked at Friday evening (once again I was told it hadn't nor had anyone told me what was wrong with it) and the part was ordered. After voicing my irritation at once again the lack of communication and not even knowing what was wrong for a part to be ordered, I was told it was a heater hose and the vehicle would be ready early afternoon. The advisor called during that timeframe saying it was ready and stated it was a leaky coolant valve (not what the service manager said.) This has been the worse communication I have ever had to deal with. When you have a customer's vehicle it would be nice to keep them updated on status, regardless if it's being looked at or not. And what is the point at an 8 am appointment with an advisor if the vehicle won't be serviced unknowingly until that evening or three days later (according to business days?!)
